What a lovely artistic photo--great shot. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. Mickie

I can almost smell the forest. The log appears to have been burnt at some stage in the past. I love the sharp little fern shadows and the more general diffuse foresty shadows.

Beautiful! I love a walk through a rain forest. Ferns create such lovely shadows! Have a great week :)

I've been to a British Columbia rain forest just once. Your photo makes me long to return. Thank you!

MANY SHADOW-SEEKERS SAY

Many shadow-seekers say,
“Oh, the one that got away!”
Why are you so uptight, folks?
Can’t you take light’s little jokes?

I love it! Looks like it would make a wonderful painting. The ferns are cool. Nice job.

Peace

That is one of my favorites especially with that burst of light on it. Lovely.

You've got a great eye for a good photo. This is beautiful, and makes me homesick.

what a great shot - the rainforests up in these parts are so amazing! the smell of the damp earth, the heaviness of the air ... i'm ready for the snow to melt so i can go hiking again.

It's gorgeous! The delicate fern shadows make such a nice contrast with the heavier shadow.
