135. Smiling Sally's Blue Monday

Braised short ribs served on a Cornishware plate

I love blue and white pottery and pick up bits and pieces in thrift shops. It is always a thrill to find Cornishware. I love the cheerful, blue and white design.

What is your favourite blue and white pattern?

These ones are Chef Ware, Staffordshire  Blue White pottery

Those are lovely. I like the clean lines too. My favorite set up north are my Blue Willow. In Florida it has to be the Indian Tree Churchill China my friend gave me.

I seem to enjoy anything blue and white, but my husband likes the cleaner lines.

Happy Blue Monday!

I'm looking forward to seeing Delftware when we visit the Netherlands in March. But I particularly love Wedgwood blue from England. Did you know there is a web page blueandwhite.com about this very subject?

Very pretty! And the meal looks wonderful too -- makes me hungry just looking at it -- sigh.

My favorite china is also blue and white -- a wedgewood pattern that I inherited from my grandmother. I'll have to remember that as an option for another Blue Monday -- I love that china for it's memories :-)

Your dishes trimmed in blue are very pretty. Those ribs look really good served on them.
