165. F is Forbidden

"Forbidden" designed by Vera Neumann

I collect this pattern, plus the other patterns designed by VN and made in Jamaica by the Island Worcester Company.  The underglaze is hand painted so each piece is unique.

Who else is a Vera Neumann fan?

135. Smiling Sally's Blue Monday

Braised short ribs served on a Cornishware plate

I love blue and white pottery and pick up bits and pieces in thrift shops. It is always a thrill to find Cornishware. I love the cheerful, blue and white design.

What is your favourite blue and white pattern?

098. Monday memes

Kit included a blue cloth backdrop.
I was trying out the  Optex Photo Studio Lighting Kit that my husband gave me for Christmas.

The kit is like a piece of origami.  It is a small case that opens to become a 16-inch cube with lights attached.

I love it.

040. White Wednesday

Don't they have the sweetest expressions?
I have just started taking my Christmas decorations out.   I don't get going till next week when we get our tree.

The angels are about 3 inches tall
Background is a Christmas card

041. U is for urn

In the past, these urns were used to store olive oil  (picture taken in Reggio Calabria)
Here are other urns I saw in Italy:

I'm not sure if this is an urn but I like the grand scale (picture taken in Venice)
