289. P is for Peaceful

Here is a peace-loving Lab.  He is at the Occupy Vancouver walk.  He often goes on peace marches and is unfazed by the crowd.

266. B is for Banyan tree

Banyon tree, F. macrophylla in Reggio Calabria, Italy

In India, the Banyan tree is a sacred tree.  It is the tree of knowledge and tree of life.

It is the tree that fulfills all your wishes.  So let us pray for peace and harmony in this world.  That the hungry be fed.

The Banyan tree also has medicinal properties.

221. S is for spot prawn, salmon, sashimi and Scotch eggs

Wild BC Spot Prawns are in season!

Steamed spot prawns with aïoli
Sashimi with wild BC salmon
Spot prawns and salmon are British Columbia delicacies.  Japanese food, especially Sushi and Sashimi,  has almost become the native food of Vancouverites.

S is for suphos and slymultu - these are created by word verification!  How about using these two words in a sentence!

Scotch eggs - one of my favourite ways of cooking eggs

R is for Renew, Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose

Some ingenious recycling I saw in Vancouver, BC.
Re purpose the headboards and the easel

Reuse the bicycle as a piece of sculpture and/or pulley
Recycle the pedestal table as a planter
The boards look like they started life as part of a futon bed
Of course, R is for Rose, Beautiful Rose
